About

What is your background?
I am an Asian-American therapist in the San Francisco Bay Area who grew up in China, Australia, and the US. My family roots are in Singapore. After completing high school in Australia, I moved back to the US for college and found sociology classes related to race, class, and gender to be the most thought-provoking and inspiring. For my graduate degree I specifically looked for social work/social welfare programs, due to their emphasis on social justice issues. In my career I have been fortunate to work with a variety of people, including foster youth, college students, and people who work in the tech industry.

What are your qualifications?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California, which is regulated by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). My experience includes working as an on-site counselor at Google, a therapist at Kaiser Permanente’s Department of Adult Psychiatry, and as a psychiatric social worker at Yale New Haven Hospital.
