Pauline Loh, LCSW

My goal as a therapist is to help individuals focus on what truly matters to them. I work with adults who are interested in making constructive changes related to personal, work, and relationship stress, healing from past traumas, and learning how to “unstick” from spirals of negative thoughts and frustration. My treatment approach is strengths-based and solution-focused. I specialize in evidence-based practices with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). For couples I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method.

In therapy sessions I engage in a collaborative process to support you in going through the challenges of change, to guide you in understanding problems that cause stress, and to introduce skills that can enhance your quality of life. I’ll work with you on identifying and achieving your goals, while helping you find a healthy balance and improve relationships. I approach therapy with effective treatment interventions that match your needs, and I am passionate about working with adults who experience depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and concerns related to work, relationships, and cultural identity. My therapeutic style has been described as warm, direct, and interactive.

I received my Master’s degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley with a concentration in Community Mental Health. My experience involves working with individuals, families, couples, and adolescents seeking mental health treatment in a variety of settings, including leading hospitals, schools, and community organizations. I strive to create a safe, empathic, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all clients. I look forward to partnering with you so that you can feel empowered in accomplishing your goals.
